Now, that headline caught my eye, and I'd love to give you the rest of the story, as what's his name used to say, but I can't.
It's "embargoed" until January 17. So I can't put up the link to the story until then. Sigh.
What was what's his name's name anyway? Was it Paul Harvey? Who remembers?
It was Paul Harvey. I was still listening to "The Rest of the Story" when he had begun to pass it on to his son (or at least, a voice identified by the radio announcer as somebody by the same last name). For awhile the 'story' was heard in that new voice, and the 'rest of the story' was still spoken by Paul. After he stopped being on the air, I notice that the feature faded, at least from the stations where I'd been finding it. But I still miss that approach to the quirkiest news stories.
What I want to know today is, How did you get hold of an embargoed story? Do you still have password access to the Associated Press wire or something?
Love, light and laughter

Hi Maggie--putting an "embargo" on a story is routine. It just means that you can't use it until the date the source tells you is OK. In this case, the same day as it is coming out in another publication.
That's usually how it works.
If I got the story on my own, then that would be a scoop and I'd feel free to use it.

Is that called APOPTOSIS - or natural cell death? There has been tons of research on cell death, so someone must have a new wrinkle.
I used to LOVE Paul Harvey. His wit could keep me laughing for a while.
