Things are not going very well for me. (That's an understatement.)
My brain doesn't want to work. My balance is bad and I move very slowly. Neuropathy--numbness in hands and feet--interferes with all sorts of daily activities. I see Dr. Lee on Friday and will try to get answers to at least some of my problems.
Last week I went in for a routine CT and another test--this is the pincushion part--and after six or eight sticks, no one could get a vein on me, so I went home without the tests. Still need to reschedule those.
Hate to complain, although I am, obviously, but that's why I'm not blogging much these days. I also don't have much of a life.
I'm so sorry, Jeanne. Is your neuropathy painful? Mine hurt so bad I had to take Cymbalta, which helped a little. It's fine to complain, you know that, especially if that's what you have to do to speak your truth. I miss you.

I can appreciate 'hate to complain.' But if it were me, I'd want to be blogging anyway. This reader would love to be reading you even if complaining is all that's possible. (And no, that's NOT advice, honest).
Sorry to hear about the unsuccessful needle sticks - that sucks. Just now I want to wrap you up in a warm hug and ask whatever Gods may be for sweet medicine and gentle treatment for my friend Jeanne.

Sending love. My mom was a hard stick. She had floating veins and was often dehydrated making it even worse. Once it took 8 nurses to try. They lined up at her door like it was a contest betting who would get the blood. They all lost. She was finally sent to a phlebotomist who used a butterfly needle on the first try. I understand your pain!

Oh, Jeanne, I'm so sorry to hear this. My friend with pancreatic cancer has the same problems with needle sticks, and I know it can be so frustrating. I wonder if anyone out there is working toward addressing this problem. Seems like it's an issue that needs a solution, and soon!
Until you pop back in again, I'm sending--always!--prayers/white light/exhortations to the universe that things improve for you.
xoxo me

Even complaining seems to take too much brain power. My brain is really fried.
Now, if I could write the way I used to, well, maybe then .... thank you all for all the support.

Thinking of you, Jeanne. Struggling myself, as I've been told chemo not working and I have to look into clinical trials. It all seems so unreal. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Jeanne, miss reading your thoughts but I understand the reason why. I hope there is something to help the neuropathy. And I hope someone is able to get you on the first stick next time. Good thoughts and positive energy your way.

I've lurked on your site for a while and always admire the way you get up again after being knocked down. I've missed your no-nonsense but compassionate voice, too, but understand why you're not feeling up to blogging. Sending prayers and love your way.

I'm sorry things aren't going well. I think about you a lot and hope you are comfortable and that Most Excellent Younger Son is handling things with grace and compassion. He is a great guy.
